This property has 52 units that was built in the 1970s. The lease/purchase under negotiations, we took one of the units to give it a needed facelift, gutting out the cabinetry and floors.
We replaced the dark floor with a softer gray and went with a light oak cabinet. We splashed the wall with a soft mint green, accentuating the granite and brightening up the area.
New cabinet, sink, fixtures, and granite top with shelving behind the tri-fold mirror. The upgrades provided better storage and made this a more functional space.
Stepping into the bathroom was like stepping into a closet. Cracks in the tile walls, water damage on the drywalls. We had to gut much of the walls to see what needed to be done.
So we decided to open it up. Turn it into a walk-in rain shower with better water pressure and drainage... replacing all of the plumbing with copper pipes and better flushing toilet.
New tiled walls and floors. Smaller tiles provided better traction. Plumbing replaced with copper pipes and larger drain. New lights, fixtures, Kohler toilet and door.
The kitchen was very unusual. Same smelly cabinets. Hood did not match the size of the range and two burners out on the range. No counter space, drawers, or storage.
We went with the same cabinets and granite. New hood and range. And we moved the sink to provide more counter space next to the stove, added drawers, and replaced the floor.
